Stuff and nonsense

Having a go with bullet points today. Your patience is much appreciated.

If the fetching scarf is any indication, Kylie is doing much better.

Fans are shocked to learn Madonna considered the lyrics to her single "Super Pop" too arrogant for her public image.

Posh gives a Rolls-Royce Phantom to Becks. I imagine it is a great ride.

Gwen Stefani, still in need of two names, is keeping her second solo album on hold and taking some much needed me time instead. What an excellent idea.

List action update: Hmm. These "ul type="circle"" and "li" html tags do not seem to be agreeing with my MT set-up. Any ideas what the difficulty might be? Hollow circle bullet points would be such a nice addition.

I don't like them in MT either, & have sometimes used ° or • but it's not the same. Or you can just invent your own Kylie bullets

In your styles-site.css file, find the .blog li entry and change it to this:

.blog li {
 line-height: 150%;
 color: #000000;
 list-style-type: circle;
 list-style-position: outside;
}

This will set up LI lists in your blog body with hollow circles.

To set the UL list so that the bullets are more or less flush with the left margin of the body text, add this to the CSS file:

.blog ul {
 margin-left: 17px;
}

That seems to work with my local copies of your page and CSS file.

When formatting your lists, wrap each <p> paragraph line with <li> tags, like this:

<ul>
<li><p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet... yadda yadda yadda, f'shizzle, yo.</p></li>
</ul>

Hope this helps.

Thanks -- Jon

Aww, crickey. Your CSS is screwed up, isn't it! That comment works fine in the preview...

Let's try it again:

In your styles-site.css file, find the .blog li entry and change it to this:

.blog li {
line-height: 150%;
color: #000000;
list-style-type: circle;
list-style-position: outside;
}

This will set up LI lists in your blog body with hollow circles.

To set the UL list so that the bullets are more or less flush with the left margin of the body text, add this to the CSS file:

.blog ul {
margin-left: 17px;
}

That seems to work with my local copies of your page and CSS file.

When formatting your lists, wrap each <p> paragraph line with <li> tags, like this:

<ul>
<li><p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet... yadda yadda yadda, f'shizzle, yo.</p></li>
</ul>

Hope this helps.

Thanks -- Jon

Thanks for your tips, everybody! Of course, I have broached this subject immediately before Xmas and so will not have time to do any tinkering for the next week or so...
