Being right too soon is socially unacceptable
There are plenty of reasons to oppose Obamacare but to me the most telling objection is constitutional (via Ace of Spades HQ).
"It's going to the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court's going to decide whether or not the Constitution of the United States permits the government to order the American people to purchase goods or services, whether they want them or need them or not," Pence said Friday on WLS radio in Indiana.
The state should not have the power to force citizens to purchase a good or service, in this case health insurance.
To my mind, this is a conservative reading both of the United States Constitution and of natural rights.
But what do I know? I am held hostage by my Canadianity and can think of at least one American who claims to be "so conservative" he makes me "look like an Obama fan" who thinks the state should be empowered to compel you to purchase the services of the neighbouring county's fire department.
And who thinks you are entitled to their services for free at everyone else's expense if you don't.
A thought: The Tea Party has gone from strength to strength as an insurgency. If their candidates take power come November, the Tea Party must start thinking in terms of counter-insurgency against Leftist forces of reaction.
This means taking on and defunding the Left in all its institutional redoubts in the media-educational complex, of course. But COIN must begin by winning the hearts and minds of "conservatives" long used to a maternal state and unused to thinking for themselves.

You hit the nail right on the head, Flea.
The next battle is the counter-insurgency. Defunding the left from their sources of taxpayers' money will be the next struggle.
It kinda reminds me of the 'Scouring of the Shire', the chapter that did not make it to the Lord of the Rings.
These leftist tapeworms will not go easily into the night; and the more they resist, use their dirty tactics, the more likely it will at night when they are sent away.
