Obama doth protest too much

The Mayor of Mitchieville makes a point so obvious nobody else has made it.

When "President" Obama was asked why so many people were uncertain about his faith*, Obama said:

“I can’t spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead,” quipped Obama, who took a deep breath to gather his thoughts when asked if the poll reflected his inability to communicate with voters.

This is a response but it isn't an answer. As the Mayor put it:

He may as well had told William’s that he enjoys cheese, because that answer is about as relevant. Not as telling, mind you, but just as relevant.

Like Trudeau and Clinton before him, Obama is only a master of prevarication because the press are too lazy, stupid or complicit to press him to a straight answer. And like Trudeau and Clinton before him, Obama seems to make it a point of principle - or of a concern for liability masquerading as principle - to avoid telling flat out lies. It is a narcissist's dodge, part of an ongoing demonstration to himself of his superiority and ability to manipulate.

It is something he learned in childhood; a defense mechanism.

* Whereas there is no doubt in my mind about Obama's faith.

His only religion is liberal orthodoxy. The civil rights movement owed its success not to the Supreme Court, but to the spiritual strength of the black church, which suffused the community in the Fifties. It's a long fall from MLK to the Rev Wright
