Not for turning
Meryl Streep, who should be pilloried in the stocks, is set to portray an aged Margaret Thatcher, wracked by guilt and reduced to a shadow of herself by dementia.
The news is in astonishing (yet all too predictable) bad taste, of course, but allow me to offer the following interpretation of just what it is these leftists are proposing.
Plot synopsis: Margaret Thatcher succombs to dementia; becomes liberal.
That has the ring of truth to it. If she lost her mind, she would agree with them. I could not have put it better myself.
The real Margaret Thatcher: The Left fears the truth. That is all you need to know; everything else is commentary.
In this case, they were right to fear the messenger of the truth, delivered by God to save and protect England in her twilight hour. She was a terror to them, the Iron Lady of the Western world.
Would that we should see her like again.
She was right.
This is what a conservative looks like.
