Violent agreement
The half-men calling themselves President of the United States and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom "violently agree" the only man convicted of the Lockerbie massacre should have died in prison.
So what? It is not as if either of them intends to do anything about it. Pace the otherwise sensible John Bolton, David Cameron should not "condemn the release, meet families of the Pan Am 103 victims, and promise full co-operation with the Senate investigation", he should declare war on Libya.
Which is what we should have done in the first place. Instead we chose to treat an act of war as a criminal act with all the attendent consequences of that decision. Freeing the "Lockerbie bomber" is not a miscarriage of justice, it is the logical telos of a miscarriage of civilization.
The only criminal charges to be laid should be directed toward BP and various officials at Westminster, Edinburgh and, most likely, Washington. Do not hold your breath: Our betters are too busy profiting from their treason to hold themselves accountable for it.
