Countries of interest
Any screening system that lets UK passport holders into the US without a full cavity search is going to end in disaster and most probably even then. But it's a start.
A senior official identifies the relevant "countries of interest": Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, or Yemen, or one of the following countries designated as a state sponsor of terrorism: Cuba, Iran, Sudan, and Syria.
Racist!
Existentially related: Victor Davis Hanson points to the most salient factoid of the day. Obama and his feckless supporters have some splainin' to do; they believe, after all, that all that is necessary to end the war is to convince the enemy to like us.
The answer: "It's appalling what you'll do not to offend those certain people – specifically, those most likely to blow up airliners." It's January 5 and this could be the line of the year.
You can put me on the "being offended" bandwagon. Why not? It happens all the time and seems to work.
Testify, sister!
