Boot boy tactics

The Crown uses its police powers to harrass native protesters; accusing the protesters of "boot boy tactics" in the process. The math: 60 protesters from the Welsh Defence League square off against 200 pro-Sharia protestors and their police allies.

Speaking before its demonstration, the WDL said its event would be peaceful, but protests by its sister organisation the English Defence League have ended in disorder. Welsh Secretary Peter Hain has accused the WDL of using "boot boy tactics".

But the WDL denied being racist and called Mr Hain's comments "nonsense".

Peter Hain would certainly know all about "boot boy" tactics. Wasn't he the chap who organised, recruited and arranged funding for thuggish "protests" against "racists and fascists" -- his charming term for anyone not of the left? That organisation, the laughably named "anti-Nazi league", was the closest England has come to the Brownshirts in modern times. And isn't this the same Hain who threatened the BBC with a lawsuit (and, no doubt "protests") if it dared to have anyone from a legal political party appear on "Question time"? The same who addressed Mugabe, "as a friend"?

Probably I am quite wrong, but somehow these images stick to him in my mind.
