Prove me wrong
The International Herald Tribune asks if the United States can prevent war between India and Pakistan. This is - of course - the wrong question.
Should it become clear that the men who rampaged through Mumbai trained in Pakistan, even if the Pakistani government had no hand in the operation, what will stop the Indians from adopting the same position?
"In some ways, it doesn't even matter whether this attack was hatched in some office in Islamabad," said Paul Kapur, a South Asia expert at Stanford University. "The provocation in this case is orders of magnitude more than anything that's happened before."
Within days of the massacres in New York, Washington and in the air over Pennsylvania, it was clear the Bush administration was going to hedge its bets and limit its crusade - such as it was - to "terrorists" with "global reach". To an Englishman whose cynicism was tried the morning of September 11, the words could only mean continuing prevarication in the face of massacre if the culprits and the cause happened to be, for example, Irish and enjoyed an electoral constituency in the United States.
I know I am not alone in this interpretation. The Bush administration has never acknowledged Israel to be possessed of the same inherent right to self-defence - up to and including pre-emption - as it claimed for the the people of the United States. Even in these last few weeks in office, President Bush has reportedly warned the Israelis against an attack on Iran's genocide laboratories. To see the same logic directed toward India even as the United States Air Force systematically targets jihadi enclaves in Pakistan - the same terror state behind these latest atrocities - is stomach turning. The answer is not American double-standards and prevarication but more American bombing and the sooner the better. And so much the better if the Indians openly declare this to be the two front war that Pakistan has demanded.
As for the right question: President Bush need not worry. Even if the Pakistanis trumpeted their actions from the roof-tops and declared open war instead of making this coward's jihad, who imagines the Indian government has the stones to do anything about it?
I hope they prove me wrong.

The Anti Defamation Leauge (sic) expressed outrage at the Mumbai ‘terrorist’ attacks that “targeted innocent victims because they were Jews.” Abraham Foxman, ADL Director, issued the following statement: “This brutal attack once again shows that terrorists single out Jews. The attack is a reminder that the world must stand up against all terrorism, because in the end no one is safe until terrorism is combated in all its manifestations.”
Well of course Jews like Foxman use the Mumbai incident as an opportunity to promote the ‘war on terror.’ Once again, Muslims are made the ‘enemies’ of all mankind, rather than the Zionist Jews, who are engaged in ethnic cleansing of Arab Muslims & Christians in Palestine and responsible for world wide chaos since the inception of their rogue state of Israel. ...
The Jewish-controlled media has been spewing the lie that a massive intelligence failure by Indian security agencies occurred — despite reports that Indian authorities had been aware of rumors of an impending attack, including even the mention of the Taj Mahal Hotel.
With the CBC on their resume, al Jazeera, fame and fortune cannot be far behind. That said, as vile as it is to publish the piece, the article was not written by a Pakistani but by an American, noted wackjob Nathanael Kapner; it has already been widely and uncritically republished at leftist and Truther sites as well as the Ron Paul War Room. That didn't take long: More examples of denial/celebration of jihad. Trust me, these are already received truth at Columbia University.

Update: They pleased their demon god by torturing and executing the Jews. A thrill runs down AP's leg at the prospect.
