General O-related comment: I'm rather surprised you haven't toyed yet with a most hilarious tack on the problem of O yet - the Lacanian formulae, perhaps O as The Object. It leads to so much, like what is his Objet petit a [us? his father?] and how O is himself a desir, etc.
