Killing While Muslim

Canadian Islamic Congress president for life Mohamed Elmasry, who has publicly called for all Israelis over the age of eighteen legitimate targets for murder*, now calls Prime Minister Stephen Harper a racist for ignoring the plight of Omar Khadr. If not for Khadr being brown and Muslim, Elmasry argues, the Canadian government would have intervened to free him from Guantanamo. Of course, had he not been guilty of Killing While Muslim, Khadr would not be there in the first place.

The CBC and the Toronto Star run with the story, presumably intending their audiences to agree with Elmasry. They were in for a surprise. Flea-readers are advised to get a cup of coffee, follow those links and check out the comments. Canadians might finally be waking up not only the war being waged against us and the pirates, apologists and fifth columnists amongst us.

It strikes me as so ironic that your typical liberal "hugs will solve everything" poster bends over backwards to be tolerant of Islam, and yet Islam is one of the most intolerant things in the world.

If these liberals support the right to abortion, women's rights, same sex rights, children's rights, then they should be aware that if Islam ever takes control of Canada they will be the first up against the wall. The conservatives will adopt the practices and garb of the new regime and shuffle along as dhimmi, but the people who only want us all to be tolerant of Islam? Dead meat.

* Which is generous given the Koran's pronouncements on the subject.

Now that would be the Same CP that runs srcreaming headlines over every last casualty that our soldiers suffer in Afghanistan .... right?

So basically Toronto a city that represents all that is wonderful and good in the Multicultural model of the future is held to a lower standard of what is or what is not acceptable in terms of murder and mayhem than a third world Asian shithole that has been in a defacto state of anarchy and war for over 50 years.

I especially enjoy the use of the technical term "third world Asian shithole". Les mots justes.

FYI, Flea, the salute those soldiers are giving isn't improper. The Lebanese flag is flying from the back of that truck, and when deployed to a foreign country, most militaries are required to treat that foreign flag as they would their own - in this case, by saluting it.

And it's a common dictum amongst soldiers that it's always better to salute when you don't have to than to not salute when you should be. The former can get you mocked, but the latter can get you court-martialed. So better to err on the side of caution.

What's reprehensible is that these murderers of children should be draped in the Lebanese national flag in the first place.

I blog corrected. Thank you for explaining the protocol/etiquette of the situation.

That's one of those situations where the best you can hope for as a soldier is not to be assigned to that particular duty in the first place.

I've seen soldiers grind their teeth while giving a salute more often than I'd care to list.
