Those clowns don't know what terror is
At work on the screenplay for his film adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit, Frank Miller is interviewed poolside at the W Hotel. A US$70m opening weekend for 300 must have Hollywood's mandarin's taking notice for Times staff writer to wrestle the following from his keyboard.
Still, Miller gets stirred up about any criticism of the war in Iraq or the hunt for terrorists, which he views as the front in a war between the civilized Western world and bloodthirsty Islamic fundamentalists.
"What people are not dealing with is the fact that we're going up against a culture that finds it acceptable to do things that the rest of the world left behind with the barbarians in the 6th century," Miller said. "I'm a little tired of people worrying about being polite. We are fighting in the face of fascists."
Miller says he is ready for his fatwa. Testify!

I too was offended by Last Of The Mohicans, despite the glistening chest of Daniel Day Lewis.
Also, the horribleness of the "I Will Find You" mantra. :shudder:

That will be quite enough about scrawny glistening chests, thank you very much. Now off to have lunch if I can manage it.

Make that a trifecta of votes attesting to the enduring awfulness of Last of the Mohicans.
And you can play along at home with the awful acting. Buy a bag of marshmallows, jam a handful in your mouth and repeat after me:
"No, you submit, do you hear? You be strong, you survive... You stay alive, no matter what occurs! I will find you. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far, I will find you."
