Logan's (Re)Run
Joel Silver, producer of The Matrix amongst other things, thinks that Logan's Run (spoilerific original trailer of 1976) is "a bit silly" but loves the original material (that being the 1967 novel). So much so he plans to produce a remake.* Some Flea-readers may wonder why I would so wholeheartedly approve the idea having been appalled at the thought of an Escape from New York remake. To me, the distinction could not be more clear.
Plus what is not to love about this original intro:
In the 1980s the figure was 79.7 percent.
In the 1990s, 82.4 percent.
In the year 2000 — critical mass."
It is never too early to cast the new Jessica 6; suggestions are welcome. And to kick things off, I nominate Lindsay Lohan to reprise Farrah Fawcett-Majors' role as Holly 13.
* Ok, another remake. I loved the tv series too, btw.

I think Alyson Hannigan or Scarlett Johannsen have the closest look to the original actress.

Flea, you're just looking for an excuse to see Lindsay Lohan get blown up. Anyway, Jessica Simpson is equally dispensible and more in line with Farrah's plasticky blonde airhead persona.

Scarlett Johannsen might be perfect excepting that "Island" travesty was already basically a Logan's Run knock-off. And I am sorry to say Alyson Hannigan's crystal was probably flashing red some time ago...
Worse yet, I actually quite like Lindsay Lohan for all the nasty things people have to say about her. I think her hair would feather better than Jessica Simpson's...

I might suggest fourth remake given the Marvel Comics version.

I thought I was the only one who remembered the tv series. Of course, I seem to be the only person in Creation who loved that brief scifi tv show Otherworld, with Sam Groom, and who thinks that the current Battlestar Galactica doesn't hold a candle to the original series.
And then, I also prefer to think that all those other Star Trek series were just nightmares. They didn't really happen. There was only One, Original, Star Trek. And they boldly went where no MAN had gone before.
