Wanted

Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. Blaming Israel will not make it go away. Blaming the Americans will not make it go away. Northeast Intelligence Network reports a police imposter has been systematically probing security at Toronto area hospitals. This follows reported surveillance of British and American hospitals, particularly those with veterans residences (via the Jawas).
Since 9/11, hospitals have known to have been on the short list of terrorists’ targets. In October, 2005 Waseem MUGHAL, 22, of Railway Street, Chatham, UK was arrested for terror related offenses, noting that he possessed a piece of paper on his person with the words "hospital attack" written on the paper. Last year, four British men were arrested at the Stafford District General Hospital located in central UK under the Terrorism Act of 2000 related to a potential attack against hospitals.
In the US, there have been numerous and persistent reports of suspicious activity, including but not limited to surveillance of hospital operations at medical facilities throughout the United States since 2001. Many of these instances, according to a 2004 FBI bulletin and follow-up reports, indicate that suspected Islamic terrorist operatives in the US could be targeting veteran’s hospitals specifically, due to their association with the military and a perception that such an attack may be more successful than an attack against traditional military targets.
All hospitals in the US and Canada are urged to be extremely cautious. Anyone with information on the man pictured above is urged to contact the Ontario Provincial Police.
They caught this one. So, congratulations to the continuing excellence of Canada's police and security services. Also, to our blind good fortune. Now let us see if our justice system chooses to keep him.
And for the record: In my experience not every "legitimate officer will show an official ID to any citizen who asks for it without complaint"; would it were so. Depending on the circumstances, and how you happen to be dressed, you are as likely to get a sneer and be threatened with arrest. That has to change.

I notice the City News article rather pointedly doesn't mention the suspect's name. Is this just a Canadian thing or do you think it is because it's likely to be Abdul, Mohammad or Mustafa. Canadian firearms laws also don't seem to have stopped this fellow from packing heat either.

I noticed the same thing. Of course, this could be some lone nut rather than one of the tiny minority of 1.2 billion Dark Ages supremacists I am forced to suspect are involved. Though even if his name turns out to be Pierre or Duncan we are left with the same dilemma: How to convince our fellow citizens that the Geneva Conventions were meant to apply to men in uniform acting in accordance with the laws of war and not Moorish pirates whose preferred targets are hospital wards and schoolyards.
