This sounds familiar

UK shadow transport secretary Alan Duncan, the Conservative party's first openly gay MP, is to stand for the leadership. While he knows his chances are slim his observations on the risk of "historical oblivion" for a party that has failed to recognize modern Britain should be closely listened to by Canadian Conservatives in much the same predicament (via the Daily Dish).

"Our attitudes over the last 20 years have alienated an entire generation of voters, whose respect and affection Labour have ruthlessly harnessed for themselves," he argued. "It is impossible to exaggerate the extent to which anyone under the age of 35 is more likely to vote against us than for us. Anyone who denies that risks condemning us to an ever-narrower base of support, which at the moment is primarily elderly, male and rural."

Conservatives of Canada, every time CBC Newsworld invites that Satan-inspired hate-gnome, Charles McVety on as a guest they are handing him the rope to hang your party. The longer you leave it to distance yourself from his views the more you shall deserve to be associated with them.
