The World Islands

If I was offered a nice room in the Burj al-Arab I could see moving in. But you would have to pay me to live at "The World Islands" development. Tacky beyond belief. (Fun video though.)

The same company that brought us The Palm Islands, Al Nakheel Properties (Nakheel Corp), have done it again expanding their portfolio of man-made islands with this latest Dubai island project shaped like the continents of the world. The World will consist of between 250 to 300 smaller private artifical islands divided into four categories - private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands.

I don't know. Looks very interesting. You got to love that a firm can even do something like this. In the Canuckistan the eniviros would not even let you start something like this.

Well, you have got me there. Now I think we should build our own pointing south from Toronto harbour into Lake Ontario.
