Riddick

Thandie Newton and Karl Urban are the thin line between watchability and total suckage. A bit odd to see Urban without his Eomer on. Ain't It Cool News reviews The Chronicles of Riddick.
Quite.

Am I the only one who thinks of boxer Riddick Bo every time I hear/see an ad for this movie?

I agree with the full review that the artistic design is like an over-the-top version of that in David Lynch's Dune (I assume that's the Dune film the reviewer had in mind). In Dune it works because it fits with the underlying concepts of its universe, but in Riddick it seems that they took the superficial look merely for its own sake, which is guaranteed to make it fall flat.
The theme music strikes me as borrowing from Lynch's Dune and Burton's Planet of the Apes too.
Chris: Bo who??? ;-)
