We back Blair
I voted for Tony Blair. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

And then... C-SPAN has the Prime Minister's speech on RealOne (via Tim Blair).

Prime Minister Blair is truly a great leader in our world events. He leads by his convictions, not by public opinion. He stands strong against the tidal wave of political bashing.
Blair's eloquent speech made to our US Congress is an inspiration. He is able to communicate what our President Bush is feeling and he paints a very clear portait of reality.
I am truly thankful for Prime Minister Blair's wise and inspirational leadership.

Aakash: Some well-made and important points and well worth following-up through the length of the comments you link to. I agree Tony Blair is much too enthusiastic about Europe and your more fundamental point about sometimes preferring the wolf to the wolf in sheep's clothes is an excellent one.
I think there is a basic issue here which is missed by as many on the Right as on the Left (I am not suggesting you miss this issue, only that it is of primary importance to me). We are faced with an adversary who threatens our civilization as a whole. There are few points of policy which come close to matching the importance of that threat in my mind and it is by the acid test of the war with the fascists that is my first (if not last) consideration in expressing support for world leaders. It is for that reason I support Tony Blair and it is for that reason I am glad I cast my vote for his government (if not the particular MP I had to vote for in order to express that support). There are few of us who remember Winston Churchill for his tax policy or ideas about trade as important as those may have been to the success of the endeavours for which we do remember him. I believe this will be true of Tony Blair.
